Incorporated in 1894, Kendall began as a bustling railroad
community, brought to life by the industry and its employees. Today,
however, it has grown into a prosperous farming community and unique
tourist center for Monroe County.

The village maintains a park for picnicking. Playground
equipment is available for youngsters. The park has a basketball
court and volleyball courts for visitor use, which has been expanded
to include handicapped fishing spots.

Fisherpersons will enjoy the scenic trout stream located in the
village park. There's even a foot bridge for easy access and great
views. The
Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail lies adjacent to town. The trail is
perfect for the entire family; offering an easy ride and beautiful
foliage.
