Tomah / Warrens area is known as “Wisconsin’s Cranberry Country”.
With more than 2,000 acres of cranberry marshes dotting the
region, the Tomah / Warrens area is an important player in the
state’s number one fruit crop. Cranberries play an integral role

Founded in 1855 and incorporated as a city in 1883,
Tomah residents boast a proud history. From its early beginning, Tomah

Stroll the new Lemonweir River Walking Trail which stretches from Veteran’s
Park to Butts Park. Children and parents will enjoy the multi-unit
“Winnebago Wonderland” in Winnebago Park, a 10,000 sq. ft. playground
complete with castles, mazes, slides, tubes, swings and more.
Lake Tomah, a 200+ acre body of water, is the perfect spot for boating,
water skiing and fishing. |

Season highlights include finding thrills on Monroe
County’s 269 miles of snowmobile trails and enjoying cross-country skiing in
the area State Parks. Wildlife abounds in many recreational areas - view
geese, swans, ducks, cranes, deer, and other wildlife. Explore over 300
miles of scenic rural roads as you take the Amish Country Tour, Cranberry
Country Tour, and Mill Bluff / Coulee Region Tour in the Self-Guided Driving

The area offers several lodging and camping
opportunities. Enjoy one of the three area golf courses; Hiawatha Golf
Course (18 hole), Holiday Lodge Golf Course (18 hole), and Veterans Golf
Course (9 hole). Learn about our local history by visiting the Tomah
Historical Society Museum and the “Little Red School House” Museum open
seasonally. |

Tomah Recreation Park hosts the annual Super
National Truck & Tractor Pull held in June and the Monroe County Fair held
in July. The City of Tomah also hosts two annual parades – the 4th
